Retail Marketing Specialist


The Retail Marketing Specialist leads initiatives to increase traffic in the company’s retail locations.  Serves as the primary liaison between the retail and marketing teams.  Focuses on local events, sponsorships, collaborations, and analysis of current marketing strategies. Supports the continuous development and strengthening of relationships within the community and neighboring businesses. 


  • Supports bringing marketing campaigns to life in a retail environment
  • Assists with analyzing and evaluating marketing campaigns
  • Identifies localized events and sponsorships that will drive overall brand awareness and increase traffic in our retail locations
  • Researches potential collaborations that will separate Native Roots as a unique brand and enhance company performance
  • Researches and analyzes competitor locations, marketing initiatives, and brand campaigns to identify solutions that can set Native Roots apart within the cannabis industry
  • Collaborates with retail leadership to build the Native Roots brand
  • Assists with analyzing and evaluating current store designs and customer flow to develop recommendations to enhance both
  • Assists the digital marketing team to create organic content
  • Develops presentations for various teams including executives, for pitch ideas, campaign recaps, project updates, and market research
  • Identifies opportunities for awards of which Native Roots can enter and compete to win


  • 3 years of progressive retail marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Must possess or obtain a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge
  • Experience building teams and internal partnerships
  • Project management experience including leading multiple projects, design, development, and deployment
  • Experience translating marketing ideas into action within a retail environment
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to assess data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar Docs, Slides, Sheets, Word, Excel and Powerpoint


  • Basic graphic design skills


  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes


  • Pay Range: $60,000 to $72,000; actual pay will be determined based on qualifications.
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Accrue paid time off (PTO) immediately; starting at 2.5 weeks per year
