Demand Planning Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:

The Demand Planner is responsible for managing demand forecast analytics, sales and operations planning reporting, and special project support.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains the rolling 12 month item level demand forecast model for retail stores and wholesale
  • Provides sensitivity analysis of internal sales trends, market intelligence, and shifting customer preferences
  • Review and maintain statistical algorithms within prescribed system, adjusting historical patterns and future projections as needed
  • Maintains forecast accuracy results at the monthly item level and supports related fill rate and distress metrics
  • Collaborates with cross functional partners to understand all impacts to the forecast
  • Supports the facilitation of monthly demand meetings with other departments
  • Executes weekly/monthly analysis and reports on demand performance, providing critical intelligence on business history, trends, and future assumptions
  • Generates a variety of demand planning reports and provides analysis for multiple SOP process adherence
  • Provides continuous improvement recommendations
  • Generates ad hoc reports and analysis as needed
  • Analyzes data and summarizes it into useful information that can be used to increase revenue, cuts costs, and/or drive other business decisions
  • Identifies and analyzes various data sources: explores large volumes of online and offline data across platforms and data sets
  • Creates ad-hoc dashboards, reports, and analyses that explain what happen
  • Supports master scheduler in verifying weekly final assembly schedule to ensure proper SKU level items are being provided to wholesale and retail
  • Supports special projects and demand planning activities
  • Support cross functional team members with data necessary to drive efficiencies
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of related demand planning experience
  • Must possess or obtain a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to assess data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar Docs, Slides, Sheets, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Cannabis industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience reporting with Tableau

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: 

  • $55,000 - $65,000; actual pay based upon experience
