Senior Digital Marketing Specialist


The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist responsible for bringing the Native Roots brand to life through digital channels with engaging content. Translates brand identity into communications across all digital channels including social, editorial, CRM, SEO and paid advertising.  Supports the marketing team with concepts and creates photo, video, written and designed communication assets. Focuses on creating compelling visual and written assets to support a robust calendar for promotional and brand campaign activations.  


  • Evaluates the interests and behaviors of the company’s audience and how to best connect with them to identify and create compelling digital content
  • Develops relationships with market influencers to increase brand visibility and enhanced brand content experiences
  • Leads the strategy for engaging customers across social, print, digital, and OOH channels with a focused effort on increasing engagement and exploring new ways to use communication platforms to enhance our storytelling approach
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to build out strategies, translate briefs, develop creative concepts, and execute best-in-class content experiences
  • Sources appropriate agency partners for content creation and manages the creative pipeline and workflows
  • Develops and leads the content calendar
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners to create, support, and execute campaigns and content initiatives across key channels
  • Ensures brand stories adhere to a consistent voice and visual style
  • Creates timely, culturally relevant content by developing a story bank that can feed a variety of marketing and communications deliverables
  • Manages a high volume of content creation to ensure excellence in project management and creative delivery by creating written and visual content that can be featured both externally and internally
  • Leads the planning on various deliverables needed for each campaign
  • Executes campaign plans through on-site art direction for photo and video shoots 
  • Oversees post-production efforts and written deliverables
  • Collaborates with marketing and key teams to develop content that supports our earned media communications plans to help amplify these campaigns through culturally relevant social marketing
  • Collaborates with Business Intelligence teams to develop meaningful metrics to drive business results including testing and analyzing results to measure the effectiveness of our efforts with an emphasis on optimization.
  • Leads creative presentations to leadership teams to explain creative strategies while ensuring that product look and brand imagery is consistent and creative presentation standards are met
  • Develops relationships with brand ambassadors to create new story ideas while acting as a Native Roots brand ambassador in multiple retail locations across each market 
  • Identifies highly compelling content/story ideas and concepts for campaigns by traveling frequently within our various markets for photoshoots and inspirational storytelling concepts


  • 3 years of experience supporting marketing campaigns, concepting, and content creation with photography/photo shoot in both a lifestyle and studio environment 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Must possess or obtain a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge
  • Experience building teams and internal partnerships
  • Experience in crafting and directing highly creative content for consumer facing brands
  • Experience in a retail or consumer packaged goods environment 
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to assess data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar Docs, Slides, Sheets, Word, Excel and Powerpoint



  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes



  • Pay Range: $75,000 to $90,000; actual pay will be determined based on qualifications.
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Accrue paid time off (PTO) immediately; starting at 2.5 weeks per year
